About Us

Precedo Healthcare Services

Established in 2008

After working in the healthcare recruitment industry for many years, our founder had encountered staffing providers at both ends of the spectrum; those charging unfairly high prices just because they could and those with low charge rates but little regard for quality, experience & training, compliance, paying living wages to staff, or continuity of care.

He wanted to change the stigma attached to recruitment agencies in the sector, by setting up a healthcare and social care staffing service and care provider that prioritises patients, service users, staff and quality of care.

We began with the supply of domiciliary care staff in to service user’s own homes, which quickly developed in to also caring for individuals with more complex needs. From there we started supporting care homes, hospitals and other services with their day-to-day staffing requirements.

Today Precedo Healthcare Services partners with over 100 public and private sector clients across England; supplying Registered Nurses, Care Assistants and Support Workers. We hold positions on exclusive supply contracts and regularly bring new clients on board.

We are also CQC registered and continue to care for individuals in their own homes.

We pride ourselves in our high levels of compliance. We conduct thorough pre-employment and ongoing employment checks and ensure that staff receive training in specialist areas and specific conditions, as well as mandatory training. We consistently achieve top level results in client and CQC audits.

"To excel"

Precedo means ‘to excel’ in Latin. Our goal is to support as many client services as we can, maintain our excellent reputation and provide employment opportunities to the best and most committed healthcare and social care professionals. By continuing to provide competitively priced, person focused services.

What is IR35 and how does it affect me?

IR35 is a set of tax laws which are designed to ensure all workers in the public and most private sectors are paying the correct amount of tax and National Insurance Contributions (NIC). There are a series of tests used by clients, to determine the employment status of contractors working through limited companies/personal service companies (PSCs).

IR35 legislation does not apply to staff paid via PAYE.
